This has been happening lately to my new M1 MacBook Air (had it for 2-3 weeks now, from Amazon). I have removed it from there, but hasn't made a difference.ĮDIT 2: Just noticed, I experience no problems when I have a vpn turned on. After I had plugged in the dongle, it shows in my Network Preferences as USB 10/100/1000 LAN device. ![]() I didn't use the LAN cable with it, rather just used a memory card in the dongle. So, pretty clueless to what the problem is.except it looks to be a software issue.ĮDIT: The only other thing I did on Day 2 was to use a Vava USB dongle which has a LAN connector. I tested tethering from my mobile, the MacBook Air works really well with it. I have a 2016 MacBook Pro, it works perfectly, has no issues here at home using the same wifi. I switched to Chrome because I thought the issue must be with Safari, but Chrome works only slightly better, or maybe it's better at hiding the issue. Day 3, today, it's very bad the problem is always present now. ![]() ![]() Day 2 installed BigSur and some web pages suddenly stopped loading.
